Does
Parkway Lane offer Pet friendly cabins?
Yes. Pets are allowed in The Fisherman & The Americana Cabins. A pet fee of $25 per day is automatically charged to your reservation when you acknowledge you are bringing a pet. Fee covers up to two dogs. No cats allowed. Should someone fail to acknowledge bringing a pet, brings more than two dogs, or brings a cat (or other type pet) they will be subject to eviction and/or double pet fee charges.
How
many people per cabin?
Most of our cabins have sleeper
sofas so that a maximum total of four could stay at each cabin (except for the
Americana & 100 Year Old Cabins which accommodate couples only).An extra-guest fee of $25 per day per
guest is automatically charged to your reservation when you acknowledge the
total number in your party.Should
someone fail to acknowledge bringing extra guests they will be subject to
eviction and/or double guest fee charges.
How
secluded is Parkway Lane?
Everything is a matter of degree. When you have an almost 360 degree view of trees, mountains, water, grass, and a few log cabins most would consider that secluded. Parkway Lane has seven log cabins on over seven acres alongside the French Broad River. Approximately five of these acres are used as a golf green for practice of your chip shots (balls & clubs are furnished on each deck). In a half-circle around this area are the seven cabins with the two River Cabins on the riverbanks 1,000 feet apart giving all cabins a panoramic view of the River and Ridges.
Do
your cabins have hot tubs?
Only the Honeymoon/Spa Cabin has a hot tub which is located on the back screened-in deck. This cabin also offers a TV in the bedroom, built-in speakers throughout the cabin as well as near the Hot Tub.
How
much is the reservation deposit?
Reservations made more that 60 days in advance
will have half of the total booking costs charged at time of reservation with
the balance charged 30 days prior to your arrival. All other cabin reservations will
be charged the full amount at time of reservation unless requested otherwise.
Can
you take a reservation over the phone?
Yes, however we prefer guests to make cabin reservations online. It is quicker, easier, and there is less chance of a mistake. Making reservations online is just as safe as over the phone.
What
is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations
made at least 31 days prior to arrival will be refunded minus a $75
cancellation fee. The full amount is non-refundable for cancellations made
within 30 days of arrival, unless we are able to re-rent the cabin for any
portion of dates as your original reservation.
What extra charges are included?
All
reservations incur 6.75% NC Sales Tax and a 4% Buncombe County Occupancy Tax in
addition to the rental amounts.This amount is shown to you when you set up your reservation
online.Parkway Lane does not charge
a cleaning fee as long as guests leave the cabin as they found it.
What do I need to bring?
Just bring food. Maps are furnished in each cabin showing the
location of a supermarket located just a few miles away.
Linens, towels, dishes, cooking utensils, coffee maker, electric
can opener, toaster, hair dryer, soap, paper goods, and some cleaning implements
are included with each cabin rental.
Do you allow fishing?
Yes, however, you must have a fishing license. Go to ncwildlife.org for licenses online. Fishing rods are left on each deck. Live bait can be found at most convenience stores in the area.
Can
I bring a canoe for the river?
Yes. We can take you upstream or
pick you up downstream for a charge of $50.Should you prefer not to bring your canoe we can rent you
one for an additional $50.
